Define Smart Routers

Smart Routers offer a very powerful tool to first classify a document, and depending on the class of the document, add a tag to the conversation and/or extract information from that document using a specific extractor for that document class. In this sense, Smart Routers combine document classification with tagging and/or extracting information from documents.

Smart routers are most useful when you expect to receive multiple document types in the same inbox. A smart router can classify an incoming message, and and or an attachment and act on it as per your instruction.

How to classify an attachment and process it with a specific extractor using UpBrains Xtract Smart Routers?

Step 1: Locate Xtract

  1. Go to Settings > Document Skills > Smart Routers. click on Add Smartroute

Step 2: Create Smartrouter

  1. Create a name for your Smart Router
  2. Define your class name used for Extractors
  3. Choose which Extractor you want to use for your class:
  1. Click on Add to add to Records
  2. Click on Save to successfully create a Smartrouter
